Dalit Youth Beaten Up For Selling Biryani in Noida, His Food Stall Overturned; Watch Video

New Delhi, December 15: In a startling incident, a Dalit youth was slapped and mercilessly beaten up by unidentified assailants for selling biryani. The case was reported in Greater Noida, where the man had set up a roadside food stall to sell the popular Indian dish. An FIR was registered yesterday against three unknown assailants under the relevant sections of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, the SSP said. The identities of the miscreants are yet to be ascertained. The police is hopeful of arresting the culprits at the earliest, he claimed.

"We saw the video yesterday and then the investigation was initiated. The victim was identified and called to the police station for all the details. A case was registered against three men. The incident took place in Rabupura area. The search for the accused is underway," Ranvijay Singh, Superintendent of Police, Greater Noida, was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
