Mumbai, September 20: In a shocking incident in Mumbai, a 34-year-old dog trainer was allegedly stabbed by a thief after he stopped the latter from stealing his two-wheeler. The alleged incident occurred on Wednesday evening, September 18, near Chitra Cinema on Dadasaheb Phalke Road in Dadar East. The victim has been identified as Kunal Kudale.

Police officials said the incident occurred when Kudale had gone to train a dog and saw the thief tying to take away his scooter, reports HT. When the victim questioned the accused, the thief said he was from the finance company that had financed the vehicle. At the same time, the accused panicked and tried to flee when a police vehicle siren blared from the distance. While fleeing, the accused stabbed Kudale on his back, head and ears. Following this, Kudale approached the police and lodged a complaint against the accused. Meanwhile, the victim's brother Sachin Kudale said that his brother was out of danger.

The victim is currently undergoing treatment at the KEM Hospital. Acting on Kudale's complaint, the police traced the accused to Kurla using CCTV footage and arrested him. The accused has been identified as Sonu Chandran alias Monu (39). In a separate incident, the Mumbai police arrested a man and a woman for allegedly threatening actor Salman Khan’s father and legendary scriptwriter Salim Khan by using gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s name. However, cops said it appeared to be a prank as the accused weren’t connected with the gangster.
