Raisen, September 3: In a shocking incident, a 35-year-old man was brutally thrashed and one of his arms was cut off by members of a family after he went to their residence to inquire about his missing cow. According to reports, the incident took place in Madhya Pradesh's Raisen village on Sunday. The man was tied to a tree and was mercilessly beaten by members of the family. According to reports, Police have arrested two people in connection with the incident. Meanwhile, an investigation into the matter is underway.
Rajendra Kumar Dhurve, SHO informed that the cow owner has been identified as Prem Sahu. "A man was tied to a tree & thrashed for enquiring about a missing cow. Victim Prem Sahu was attacked with a sword by Raja Ram Yadav & his family", Sahu added.
According to a report by PTI, Sultanpur police station's Assistant Sub-Inspector Malkhan Singh Meena informed that on Saturday evening, the victim went to the house of Sattu Yadav in Pipalwali village which is situated about 40 km from the district headquarters, in search of his missing cow. A simple enquiry about the animal turned into a heated argument following which Sahu allegedly abused him, he said.
The enraged family members of Yadav then tied Sahu to a tree and allegedly thrashed him mercilessly and chopped off one of his hands. Soon after the incident, Sahu's kin rushed to the spot and freed him from captivity. The victim was admitted to the community health centre at Sultanganj from where he was referred to a hospital in Bhopal.
