Lucknow, Sep 19: Deen Dayal Dham, a Mathura-based pharmacy backed by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is all set to launch cow dung soaps and other natural cosmetic products for sale on e-commerce platform Amazon. Reports inform that the Deen Dayal Dham has plans to sell cow dung-based therapeutic products along with Modi and Yogi kurtas on the online platform. According to a report in TOI, the Mathura-based centre is believed to sell about 30 'therapeutic' products while Modi and Yogi kurtas will be taken care of by the tailoring unit of the centre.

Some of the products made by the Deen Dayal Dham include toothpaste, shampoo, amla and tulsi tonic titled Ghanvati- for diabetes, bath soaps and few other natural cosmetics. The report informs that the products have cow urine and cow dung as the main ingredients and no synthetic chemicals are used. Arun Kumar, RSS spokesperson was quoted in the report saying that the initiative is aimed to generate more jobs for local residents that would ensure their financial independence. Manish Gupta, deputy secretary of the centre informed that the products of Kamdhenu line that have cow urine among the main ingredients, and kurtas and other khadi products will soon be available on Amazon.

Currently, the Mathura based centre sells products worth Rs 1 lakh and apparels worth Rs 3 lakh every month. The products are so famous that the centre sold 700 kg chyavanprash in 2015 and 1200 kg in 2016 and to scale up their business, the centre now plans to make its products available online. The tailoring centre is another unit with 50 workers, all women earning Rs 120 a day.
