COVID-19 has reached 10 states and three union territories so far. Kerala is the worst-affected state with 19 cases (including three recovered). Haryana has reported 14 cases- all foreign nationals. Agarwal said that contact tracing of confirmed cases is being actively pursued. "So far, this has led to the identification of more than 4000 contacts who have been put under surveillance," he informed.
"124 evacuees from Japan and 112 evacuees from China are being discharged from today onwards after having tested negative for Coronavirus in the second round of test," Agarwal said.
He also said that states can take action against those who are selling face masks at inordinate prices. "If masks are sold at exorbitant prices then States can take action as per law. If need be we will take drastic action on the abnormal increase in the price of masks," the health ministry official said.
Amid coronavirus scare, states and union territories have declared holidays in school and colleges. Malls, Theaters, swimming pools, pubs, and places have been ordered to shut to limit the spread of the virus.
