On Tuesday, the grand old party workers dumped loads of documents at Chauhan's residence as proof that the Kamal Nath government has waived loans of 21 lakh farmers after coming to power in the state. As the Lok Sabha elections are going on, both Congress and BJP leaders are targeting each other. The ex-cm on Sunday held a 'lantern march' in Bhopal alleging that ever since the Congress government has come to power, the electricity in the state is gone. He added that the dark era which was in Digvijaya Singh's government is back under Congress rule.
"Ever since Congress has come, electricity has gone. Digvijaya Singh had turned Madhya Pradesh into a state of darkness and that era is coming back. 'Lalten' is the symbol of the era of darkness, that is why we're doing this march to raise awareness among the public," said Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
