Karnataka, November 18: Congress MLA Tanveer Sait was attacked with a sharp knife by a man, identified as Farhan, during a wedding event on Sunday in Mysuru. The MLA was admitted to the hospital and the attacker was taken into police custody. Sait sustained severe injuries and went through surgery as well.

The reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained. A probe is underway in order to find the reason behind the attack. Tanveer Sait is an MLA from Mysore's Narasimharaja Constituency. According to the video footage shared by ANI, bleeding Sait could be seen walking towards his car. Police said that he was taken to Columbia Hospital, which was around 1 km from the venue. Sait's supporters thrashed and nabbed Farhan when the incident took place and then they handed him over to the police.
