Bengaluru, January 7: A Congress legislator was caught on camera threatening a forest officer for allegedly stopping construction of a temple in Bhadravathi. The temple is reportedly built on a piece of forest land, which was objected by the officer. Congress MLA BK Sangameshwara on December 31 laid the foundation stone and threatened the official to cut his hands and legs if he obstructs the construction.

"They have conducted rituals here today. No one should object to the construction here. If they do, I will have their hands or legs chopped off. You don't seem to understand kind words. I am warning you," Sangameshwara, who represents Bhadravathi assembly constituency, warned the forest officer over the phone. Villagers had approached the legislator after the officer halted the works and sought his help. I Will Smash Your Head, AIUDF Chief Threatens Scribe, Tries to Hit Him.
