New Delhi, December 27: Indian National Congress leader and son of late Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Sandeep Dikshit on Friday said that "most of the police force is corrupt." His remarks come after some reports suggests that Uttar Pradesh police vandalised house of a Muslim family in Muzaffarnagar and told them that "You’ve only two places, Pakistan or Kabristan." CAA Protests in Uttar Pradesh: Mobile Internet Services Suspended in Several Districts As State Prepares for Friday Protests.

Speaking to news agency ANI, Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit said, “most of the police force is corrupt. Now, how do they erase the charge of corruption? The first thing they do is they pick up a nationalistic slogan and show everyone their love for the nation. He further added that "the more corrupt the organisation, the more nationalistic it will be. These are the tactics corrupt organisations use to hide their dark secrets. Whenever a group or say police indulge in such activities, just assume that they are trying to hide some of their dark secrets.”

A report in Telegraph India on Thursday said that around 30 policemen broke into a house of a Muslim family and vandalised it. They also told the family that "Muslims have only two places, Pakistan or Kabristan." The family also alleged that cops looted them at gunpoint and took away jewellery and Rs 5 lakh in the almirah, the report said.

The action was taken against the family for their participation in the Anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protests. The controversial law seeks to grant Indian nationality to six non-Muslim communities from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh and faced religious prosecution there.
