We condemn it. There should be a judicial inquiry," Nabi said. Supreme Court Agrees to Hear Pleas on Violence Against Students at Jamia and AMU on Tuesday Only if ‘Rioting Stops’.

ANI Tweet:

"Police didn't even spare the students in Jamia library and washrooms. We all were part of student politics in our days but police never entered the University without the permission of administration and the Registrar," Congress leader said.

Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement that Congress is behind the ant-CAA protests, Nabi said, "PM says Congress is behind it (protests). Had Congress been capable of inciting such violence, you wouldn't have been in power. It's a baseless allegation. I condemn it. Only the ruling party, PM, HM&their cabinet are responsible for it."

Following the violent protests in the streets, police forcibly entered the Jamia campus and allegedly assaulted students. At least 50 students, including those who were not part of the protests, were detained by the police and released on Monday morning.
