Earlier in Delhi, Father George PA, spokesperson of Holy Family Hospital, said that they have received about 26 university (Jamia Millia Islamia) students who suffered minor injuries. Most of them have been discharged now. Adding more, it said that two police personnel have also been admitted with head injuries, maybe due to stone pelting. However, unconfirmed reports state that 35 students were brought to Delhi's Holy Family Hospital with injuries, among which 11 are admitted.

Violence in Delhi erupted on Sunday afternoon, when a section of protesters in the march led by Jamia Millia Islamia students resorted to violence. The miscreants burnt down four buses and vandalised over a dozen vehicles. Fire brigade personnel who were rushed to the site were also allegedly pelted with stones by the infuriated mob.
