Chinese Man Attempts Suicide by Cutting His Private Parts With Broken Eyeglass Inside Toilet of Jail in Bihar's Muzaffarpur, Condition Critical

Mumbai, June 10: In a shocking incident in Bihar, a Chinese national lodged in jail allegedly tried to end his life inside prison. The alleged suicide attempt occurred on Friday evening, June 7, when 63-year-old Li Jiaqi tried to die by suicide in Muzaffarpur's Amar Shahid Khudiram Bose Central Jail. The Chinese national allegedly tried to cut his private parts in a bid to claim his life.

According to a report in the Times of India, the incident occurred on Friday, June 7, at the Amar Shahid Khudiram Bose Central Jail in Bihar's Muzaffarpur. The incident came to light when Li Jiaqi, a resident of China's Shandong province, was reportedly found injured and unconscious in the toilet of the Central jail's hospital ward. Chinese National Held in Bihar for Not Carrying Valid Travel Documents.

Cops said that the Chinese national allegedly tried to cut off his private parts with a broken eyeglass. Soon after Li Jiaqi was found unconscious, he was rushed to the Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital, where he is said to be in critical condition. As per reports, the Chinese national was arrested on Thursday, June 6, near Laxmi Chowk for not having an Indian visa.

Accused Did Not Have Valid Travel Documents

During his arrest, the police recovered a Chinese map, mobile phone, three statues, and a few currencies of China, Nepal, and India from his possession. On Friday, the police said they arrested a Chinese national for not carrying valid travel documents, including a visa. After arresting Li Jiaqi, the cops interrogated the Chinese national to ascertain the purpose of his visit to India.
