Raipur, July 23: In another breakthrough for security forces, two Naxals surrendered before Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel at Hadeli camp in Chhattisgarh's Kondagaon on July 23. The Naxals surrendered just days after security forces gunned down eight Naxals in forests of Timinar and Pusnar during Anti-Naxal operation, along Dantewada-Bijapur border. A large number of arms and ammunition was also recovered during the operation.

Nine Naxals also surrendered before police in Latehar district of Jharkhand on July 5. Talking to media Naxalites said that they had to face a lot of problems in the Naxalite camps. They also said that nowadays, principles of Naxalism is not being followed by the seniors in the camps.

In June also, ten Naxals including three women surrendered in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpaur district. They surrendered before Inspector General of Police (Bastar range) Vivekanand Sinha and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). In March this year, 59 Naxalites, including 16 women, surrendered in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.
