Bijapur, June 28: Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel lost their lives in an encounter with Naxals in Keshkutul area of Chhattisgarh's  Bijapur district on Friday. One jawan died on the spot, while the other soldier was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. However, there are no reports of injuries or casualties of Naxals in the gunfight. Chhattisgarh: 15 Naxals Killed In Sukma Encounter; Large Amount Of Firearms Seized.

According to reports, CRPF soldiers were patrolling the area, when they were ambushed by the Naxals. According to recent reports, reinforcement has been sent to the area. One civilian was also killed, while another was injured in the crossfire between the security forces and the Naxals. Meanwhile, the gun-battle with the Naxals is underway. On June 25, CPI (Maoist) killed two villagers after framing charges against them in their Jan Adalat on suspicion of being police informers, reported New Indian Express. Last week Naxals also killed Chhattisgarh state vice-president of Samajwadi Party Santosh Punem.
