Raipur, January 22: Chhattisgarh Police on Wednesday arrested a suspect in the triple murder case that rocked the state. The police arrested a suspect in the case named Ravi Sharma. The suspect allegedly murdered a woman Manju Suryavanshi (26), her month old daughter and an yet unidentified man. After the murder, Manju's family received a message which said that, "your daughter and her husband are burning. Go save them." The police found the bodies half-burnt, and tied with a rope in a rented house in Talpuri colony of Bhilai Nagar area of Durg. Police said that it looks a case of revenge killing.

The police said that those murdered were tortured before getting killed. The infant was suffocated to death, indicated the initial findings.

The police detained Majnu's husband in the case and he is the prime suspect in the case. "He had a wife and two children in Rourkela. He married another woman here (Durg). There was a dispute between him and his second wife after she got to know about his first wife," said Superintendent of Police ( SSP) Durg Ajay Yadav to ANI.
