Raipur, October 31: At least three people including two school children have been killed in a tragic road accident in Chhattisgarh on Wednesday. According to a tweet by ANI, two school-going kids and school bus conductor have been killed in the accident. Reports inform that the accident took place in Atal Nagar after a Central School bus & a city bus collided with each other. More details awaited.
Earlier in the day today, nearly 26 passengers were injured after an overloaded bus turned turtle in Goa. Reports informed that the bus overturned after hitting a car near a military camp in Margao area of the state. No loss of life or damage to property has been reported so far.

According to government data on road accidents, a total of 4,64,910 road accidents were reported in India in the year 2017. The report informs that the accidents claimed nearly 1,47,913 lives and over 4,70,975 people were injured.
Earlier this month, 10 members of a family were killed in a road accident in Rajnandgaon when their SUV rammed into a truck. According to a report by PTI, the accident took place when the family was returning to Bhilai from Dongargarh after offering prayers at the Maa Bamleshwari Temple in Dongargarh town during the ongoing Navaratri festival.
