Korba, July 13: A chilling murder case has come to light from Chaitma village in Chhatisgarh's Korba, where a 28-year-old Ranchi resident met a gruesome end. The shocking crime, discovered Wednesday morning, July 10, by local residents, saw Wasim Ansari's body cut into 17 pieces and thrown into a nearby dam. A teenage girl and her live-in partner orchestrated the horrific crime. The duo, driven by a twisted plot of jealousy and financial greed, executed a meticulously planned murder of their "friend". The Korba Police, after identifying the body, launched an investigation, arresting the accused from Odisha the next day.

According to a News 24 report, the deceased, Wasim, employed in Saudi Arabia, was lured to the teenage girl and her live-in partner, Raja Khan's rented residence. What started as a seemingly innocent friendship with the girl, forged during a train journey and later on Instagram, took a dark turn when the girl and Raja’s clandestine affair came to light. Wasim Ansari Brutally Murdered, Body Cut Into 17 Pieces

According to reports, Wasim, who had returned from Saudi Arabia after a stint of two and a half years, was lured into the rented apartment of the accused in Korba under false pretences, where they carried out the heinous act. Using the sharp weapon ordered online, they cut Wasim’s body into 17 pieces, with chilling precision and storing them in a freezer. Over the course of two days, the perpetrators disposed of Wasim’s dismembered remains in different locations. Initially, half of the body parts were dumped in the nearby Gopalpur dam, concealed in a backpack. Before the murder, the girl and Raja had not only manipulated Wasim emotionally but also financially exploited him. They coerced him into withdrawing INR 8 lakh from his bank account and created his nude videos, which they later used to extort money from him, highlighting the calculated cruelty behind their facade of friendship.

When locals stumbled upon Wasim's dismembered body on Wednesday morning, July 10. His remains, severed into 17 pieces, were found scattered across Bandhapara village. Head, torso, hands, and feet were stuffed into various sacks and school bags, a grotesque scene that prompted immediate police intervention. The discovery, made near Gopalpur dam, sparked an intensive investigation led by the Korba Police.

After a thorough investigation by the police that included the identification of Wasim through his passport found near the crime scene, swiftly moved to apprehend the suspects. Raja Khan and the girl were eventually captured in Odisha the next day. The victim's family, utterly unaware of his return from Saudi Arabia, received a devastating shock upon learning of his brutal demise. Mohammad Tahseem, Ansari's elder brother, expressed profound disbelief and sorrow over the senseless murder of his brother.
