Chhattisgarh: Bijapur Collector KD Kunjam Issues New Diktat in Office, Bars Government Employees From Wearing T-shirts and Jeans

Bijapur district collector KD Kunjam on Tuesday issued a new order for all the government staffs in the district collectorate, barring them from wearing T-shirts, jeans and bright-coloured clothes to the office.

Bijapur, June 11: Bijapur district collector KD Kunjam on Tuesday issued a new order for all the government staffs in the district collectorate, barring them from wearing T-shirts, jeans and bright-coloured clothes to the office. The new diktat comes after he observed that government employees were coming to office in casuals.

The new circular by the Bijapur DC states, as quoted by news agency ANI, "It has been observed that officers/employees of district administration are wearing T-shirts, jeans and bright-coloured clothes to the office. Adding more, the circular stated, "Even the Group-D employees are wearing their uniforms, though they are paid washing allowances by the government." Furthermore, it was said that all the officers and employees of the district administration will have to come to the office in decent formal clothes and the Group-D staff will wear their uniforms.
