Raipur, October 6: In a shocking incident, the Chhattisgarh police on Saturday arrested four robbers with a cash van of SBI carrying Rs 1 crores in Bemetara district. The van was on its way to replenish an ATM in the area, police said. According to a tweet by ANI, the police managed to nab the culprits with the help of locals within few hours of the crime. According to the DGP all the four criminals are residents of Haryana. He added that Rs 80 lakhs have been recovered from them and search for remaining cash is underway.
Bemetara Superintendent of Police Prashant Thakur informed that the incident occurred around 11:30 am when the van was on its way to the ATM of the State Bank of India to deposit cash in Navagarh area.

Giving details about the incident, the DGP said the van was located in one village after which villagers pelted stones on it to stop it. The robbers opened fire but no one was injured due to bullet. "A total of three robbers were injured & hospitalised. We'll felicitate the cops & villagers who helped us to catch the robbers", he said.
