Chhattisgarh Armed Forces Cook Kills Wife By Electrocuting Her Private Parts

Ranchi, July 18: In a shocking incident, a cook in a battalion of the Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF – a police outfit) allegedly killed his wife by electrocuting her using a live wire on her private parts at LIG colony of Bhatapara area of Baloda Bazar district on Tuesday evening. According to a report published in Hindustan Times, the accused Suresh Niri killed his 28-year-old Wife Lakshmi Bai on suspicion of having extramarital affairs. After killing her, Niri sent her body to his in-laws in Pathariya (Mungeli).

Chhattisgarh police on Wednesday took Niri into custody.  “Suresh told his in-laws that his wife died due to illness, but his in-laws found some sign of injuries on Lakhsmi’s body and reported to police on Wednesday morning,” reported Hindustan Times quoting PR Jagat, assistance sub-inspector, Pathariya police station as saying.

According to the report, Niri suspected his wife of having extramarital affairs, and on Tuesday evening he fought with her after which he passed electric current to her private parts with a live wire. The 33-year-old accused called his in-laws and told them that Lakhsmi was ill. However, after seeing injuries on the privates of the victim, her parents informed the police. The body was sent to post-mortem and report is awaited. The police have taken Niri into their custody. Niri was a cook in CAF and was serving in Dantewada district.
