Chhattisgarh, July 16: Amid heavy rainfall, at least 77 goats were killed in lightning strike in Rajnandagaon's Patpar village in Chhattisgarh on Sunday. Heavy downpour lashed parts of the state since a week, crippling normal life.
Incessant rains also created a havoc as water clogged the roads, causing inconvenience to commuters. The water level on roads rose to knee length levels, making it difficult for the locals to abide by the regular chores, ANI reported.

The heavy showers also washed down Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh where fields were drenched in high waters and commuting through crooked roads became difficult.
According to Skymet Weather, heavy to very heavy rains are likely over Odisha, Chhattisgarh, parts of Vidarbha, North Telangana and North Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, Jharkhand, South Telangana and South Andhra Pradesh will receive scattered rains.
The report states that flood like conditions may also arise over southern parts of Odisha and Chhattisgarh region. Therefore, all the residents of these regions are expected to remain alert.
