Chhattisgarh, October 27: Four Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans lost their lives on Saturday in an IED blast in Awapalli Police Station area in Bijapur district. According to media reports, two jawans have sustained injuries. Further details are awaited.
P Sundar Raj, DIG (Anti-Naxal Operation) informed that four Central Reserve Police Force personnel (one ASI, one head-constable, two constables of 168 battalion) lost their lives in an IED blast in Awapalli Police Station area. The two injured jawans sent for medical treatment.

Chhattisgarh will go to polls in November. The state will see voting in two phases, on November 12 and 20. Chief Minister Raman Singh had earlier said that Naxalism would be uprooted from Chhattisgarh, however, attacks have kept taking place in the state.
