Chennai, September 5: A shocking incident of dog attack has come to light from Tamil Nadu, where a woman allegedly set her pet dog on her house owner in Chennai. The alleged incident occurred when a man named Palani (51) visited the woman's house to question her after she gave the rented house on lease. Acting on Palani's complaint, the police lodged a complaint against Loganayaki (36).

According to a report in the Times of India, Palani owns a house in Alwarthiru Nagar near Virugambakkam. After the incident came to light, cops said that Palani and Loganayaki had an ongoing dispute after the woman allegedly leased a portion of the owner's property while he was away in Bengaluru. In his complaint, Palani said that when he returned from Bengaluru, he found that the woman had leased out his house to another person. The complaint also said that he learned that Loganayaki had taken INR 6 lakh to lease his house without his permission. When Palani questioned the woman, she and her brother allegedly threatened and assaulted him.

The alleged incident occurred on Monday evening, September 2, when Palani visited his house to speak to the woman. Cops said that when Palani reached, the woman allegedly set her dog on him, which reportedly bit him. Meanwhile, the police have launched a probe in connection with the incident. They are also probing to find out if the woman had a valid licence for her pet dog.
