Chennai Shocker: Food Delivery Executive Allegedly Dies by Suicide in Kolathur 2 Days After Woman Customer Scolds Him for Being Late To Deliver Groceries

Chennai, September 19: A shocking incident of suicide has come to light from Tamil Nadu, where a 19-year-old food delivery executive allegedly ended his life in Chennai. Police officials said that the food delivery executive allegedly died by suicide at his house in Chennai's Kolathur on Tuesday, September 17. After the incident came to light, police rushed to the spot and found a suicide note.
The deceased has been identified as J Pavithran. In his suicide note, Pavithran said that he took extreme steps as he was upset after a woman customer reportedly scolded him for being late with grocery delivery, reports TOI. Cops said that J Pavithran was a Bcom student, who was working part-time with an aggregator. On September 11, Pavithran delivered groceries to a house in Korattur. During the preliminary investigation, cops learned that the delivery of the groceries was delayed as Pavithran could not locate the house. However, when Pavithran handed over the groceries to the woman customer, she reportedly argued with him. They also said that the woman customer later raised a complaint with the delivery company.
In her complaint, the woman asked the delivery company not to send Pavithran again for delivery. While cops are unsure as to what action was taken against Pavithran, they said that the deceased allegedly hurled a stone at the woman's house two days after the incident. After this, the woman approached the police and lodged a complaint. However, Pavithran was let off with a warning. Meanwhile, a case has been filed in connection with the suicide incident, and the police are probing the matter.
