Chennai Shocker: 18 Men Held for Allegedly Sexually Harassing 11-Year-Old Girl for 7 Months, Probe Underway

Reports inform that the accused involve security men, lift operator and water suppliers in the apartment where the minor girl stays.
Chennai, July 17: In a shocking incident, a total of 18 men have been held for allegedly sexually harassing an 11-year-old girl in Chennai. According to a tweet by ANI, the victim, a class VII girl, with a hearing disorder was assaulted for more than seven months in a largely unoccupied 300-flat complex in the heart of the city. Reports inform that the accused involve security men, lift operator and water suppliers in the apartment where the minor girl stays.
As per details by Police, the investigation into the matter is underway. According to a report by TOI, the accused men sedated the minor with injections, drug-laced soft drinks and a powder that they made her sniff before sexually assaulting her.
The report further informs that the men also videographed themselves in the act and blackmailed the child by threatening that they would release the videos.
Describing her ordeal, the victim told police that Ravi Kumar, 66, an elevator operator first sexually assaulted her. She said Ravi later brought two men along who videotaped themselves raping her while the other men soon joined in, sexually assaulting the child repeatedly.
