Chennai, June 23: A shocking incident of double murder has come to light from Tamil Nadu, where a college student allegedly stabbed his mother and younger brother to death in Chennai. Police officials said that the accused, Nithesh (20), first killed his mother and brother by stabbing them and later slit their throats while they were sleeping at home. The brutal murder occurred on Thursday, June 20, in Chennai's Thiruvottiyur.

According to a report in the Times of India, the accused is a third-year BSc data analyst student at a college in Velachery. After killing his mother and 15-year-old younger brother, Nithesh wrapped their bodies in separate plastic bags and left them in the kitchen before fleeing the crime scene. Student Kills Mother and Younger Brother

"I left a bag containing my mobile phone, house key and a small tape. Rush to my house immediately," the message read. While Nithesh sent the message at 9.30 pm on Friday, June 22, his aunt saw the message the next day at around 12.30 am. When she rushed to the house, she was shocked to see blood splashed on the floor and walls of the house with a foul smell coming from the house.

Accused Informs Aunt About Murder

She told cops that she also found two plastic bags that contained the bodies of her sister Padma and nephew Sanjay. She immediately alerted the police, who reached the crime scene and began an investigation. Meanwhile, cops tracked Nithesh's location and traced him near Thiruvottiyur beach, where he was arrested. During questioning, the accused told cops that he was annoyed with his mother as she was "strict" with him.

He also said that his mother criticised him for scoring poorly in semester exams as he had arrears in 14 subjects. Cops also found that two months ago, Nithesh had run away from his house and returned back after he was persuaded by his family members and friends. During the investigation, cops discovered that Nitehsh was supposed to end his life but dropped the pan. They also found that he messaged his aunt about the double murder as the newspapers did not cover anything about it the next day.
