Chennai, December 24: In a perplexing act, a 24-year-old Chennai woman on Monday killed her friend’s father, who used to harass her sexually. The woman was arrested by Chennai police within a day after the body of the camphor vendor, M Sekar, was found in in a pool of blood in the wee hours of Tuesday at New Washermanpet area of the city. According to a report published in Hindustan Times, before killing Sekar, the accused poured an adhesive in his eyes and mouth and then stabbed him in the neck. The case was cracked with the help of CCTV footage. In the food, the accused was seen running away from the murder spot. In the CCTV footage, a woman was seen running on Ammani Amman Scheme Road (AAS Road) in New Washermanpet. An inquiry officer told the media house, “It was clear that the woman was the culprit as she was wearing a Churidar with bloodstains. We later found out that the woman was a friend of the deceased man’s daughter.” Sekar’s body was sent to Stanley Government Medical College Hospital for autopsy

After the arrest, the accused told police that whenever she visited her friend's house for studying, Sekar used to take advantage and demanded sexual favours. The police also recovered blood-stained clothes and the murder weapon, after which, she was booked for murder.
