Hyderabad, May 2: A small part of the iconic historical building - Charminar - in Hyderabad fell down on Wednesday night. The prime symbol depicting the old city of the southern region is more than 400 years old, and is made of limestone was being renovated by the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) over the last few months.
With the sudden fall of minaret's small portion fell down, the ASI stated that they would probe the matter and fix the fallen potion after the investigation is over. Earlier last year, the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Ltd adopted the iconic Charminar under the Swachh Iconic Places Projects of India. This was done by as a special drive under the Centre’s Swachh Bharat Mission.

It is to be known that both NTPC Ltd and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) had signed an MoU for implementation of development and beautification works under ‘Charminar Pedestrianization Project’ in 'City of Nizams'.
