Chandrababu Naidu Preps For Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Aftermath, to Hold 2nd Meeting With Rahul Gandhi Today
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo N Chandrababu Naidu is all set to meet Congress President Rahul Gandhi second time as he met opposition leaders including Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav to discuss anti-BJP front ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha elections results.
New Delhi, May 19: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo N Chandrababu Naidu is all set to meet Congress President Rahul Gandhi second time as he met opposition leaders including Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav to discuss anti-BJP front ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha elections results yesterday. Later, TDP leader flew to Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow and met Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati. "It is a pleasure to welcome Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri N Chandrababu Naidu Ji to Lucknow," Yadav tweeted. Though Naidu didn't speak to media, he reportedly discussed with AICC president the possibility of forming a grand alliance of all opposition parties, said sources. "The campaigning of this Lok Sabha Election 2019 has ended and as we await the last phase of polling, Andhra Pradesh CM Shri N Chandrababu Naidu paid me a visit to discuss the ongoing and future political scenario of our country," Sharad Pawar said in a tweet.
Meanwhile, Naidu's effort comes when TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is trying to form a "non-BJP, non-Congress" federal front. Naidu said that not just Telangana Rashtra Samiti but any outfit against the saffron party was welcome to join the grand alliance after the 2019 general elections results were declared on May 23.
