Haryana, September 23: Haryana police have registered a case against a man for allegedly raping a woman at the knifepoint. The woman, a Chandigarh resident,  has alleged that the man invited her on the pretext of having a meal and then raped her. According to the police FIR at Panchkula Sector five police station, the accused is the resident of Gurdaspur, Punjab. Rewari Gangrape Case: Haryana Police's SIT Makes First Arrest, Three Main Accused Yet to be Held.

Both of them have met each other last year when the accused came to victims home along with the common female relative. As both of them became familiar with each other, they exchanged their facebook profiles.

The victim told police that she was not comfortable after the relative left the room. She even tried to escape but the accused didn't let her go and raped her at the Knifepoint. He also threatened to kill her if she disclosed the incident to anyone.

The woman revealed the incident to her husband who filed a police complaint at Panchkula Police station.

Following the FIR, Police have registered a case against accused and the female relative that was along with him. No arrests have been made so far.
