Lucknow, December 13: The celebratory firing claimed an innocent life of a 14-year-old boy during a pre-wedding function in Dadri. The incident took place on Wednesday at around 5 pm when Gaurav Singh, a resident of Ghodi Bacheda village, got into the way of a stray bullet in the MU sector, Mirror Now reported. The initial investigations have revealed that bullet hit the boy in neck and chest. Gaurav was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. A relative of Gaurav told Times of India that he had just finished eating and was going towards the exit gate of ceremonial ground, where, the groom was standing. On the basis, of a complaint by Gaurav's family, police have registered a complaint against the accused under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The body has been sent for the post-mortem. During the investigation, police found that firing was done by an illegal weapon which is yet to be recovered. Meanwhile, police have started a search operation to find the accused who is currently absconding.
