New Delhi, February 28: At a joint press briefing by Army, Navy and Air Force at Delhi's South Block, Major General Surendra Singh Mahal on Thursday said that ceasefire violation by Pakistan increased after February 14 Pulwama attack. Mahal added that nearly 35 ceasefire violation were reported since the Indian Air Force (IAF) destroyed Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) camps across the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan. "Ceasefire violation by Pakistan increased after Pulwama attack, 35 Incidents reported since February 26 IAF Strikes", adding, "As long as Pakistan continues to harbour terrorists, we will continue to target the terror camps," said Mahal. Ceasefire violations are on a rise since Indian Air strikes in Balakot. In the latest, Pakistan violated ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir's Nowshera sector on Thursday afternoon. On Wednesday, a similar ceasefire violation was reported in Punjab's Sialkot. In the cross border firing, the Indian defence personnel strongly retaliated. No casualties were reported on the Indian side in the cross-border firing.

On the intersecting night of February 25 and 26, Indian Air Force conducted pre-emptive air strikes on terror camps of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). The exact number of casualties inflicted in the IAF raid is not known, but sections of Indian media said nearly 250-300 terrorists were eliminated.
