Rampur, November 29: In a bizzare incident from Uttar Pradesh, atleast 26 people on Wednesday were attacked by a stray dog in Rampur district. Those attacked are been treated in the local government hospital. After the incident was reported to Municipal corporation, they immediately rushed to the spot and managed to catch the canine. Speaking to the media, city magistrate of Rampur district, OP Tiwari said, "The stray dog was caught and people in the area were informed about it. One of the victim's relatives speaking to ANI said that the hospitals did not have anti-rabies injections and the families had to fetch it themselves. Earlier in a similar incident reported on May 3, more than 13 children, in a span of six month, had been killed by canines in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh. This had created such a panic that parents were terrified of sending their children to school.
