New Delhi, July 2: A handwritten note recovered from the Burari house where 11 members of the same family were found dead on Sunday reads, "Have to meet God on June 30". The note validates the preliminary probe by the crime branch which found a "dark mystical link" to the deaths.

Another note recovered from the house instructs the family members to commit suicide either on Thursday or Sunday. "Carry the act only on a Thursday or a Sunday," the note read, further recommending the deceased to use "dim lights" while ending their lives.

Bodies of 10 family members were found hanging in the living room, with their eyes and mouths gagged using tapes and their hands tied behind their backs. The eldest family member, Narayani Devi, was found lying dead in the adjacent room.

Autopsy report of 6 among the 11 family members released on Monday cited "ligature hanging" as the cause of deaths, with no sign of resistance found.

JCP (Crime) Alok Kumar said the deaths prima facie appears to be a case of suicide. The investigators, however, are looking into the occult angle.

Reports said the police are hunting for one 'Baba Janagedi', who was allegedly in touch with the deceased family.

A close relative relative of the deceased, identified as Sujata, has contradicted the supernatural angle being linked to the deaths. She said the family was averse to superstition and was not following any tantrik baba.

"Someone killed them and all the reports on spiritual angle are bogus. This family was a happy and peace loving one who never believed in 'babas'," she told news agency ANI.
