Bulandshahr, December 8: After the tragic Bulandshahr violence, Sitapur SP Prabhakar Chaudhary has been appointed as new SSP Bulandshahr. Chaudhary will replace Krishna Bahadur Singh who has now been transferred to DGP Headquarters, Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said that the incident was an accident and the death of police inspector Subodh Kumar Singh was not a case of mob lynching. “Uttar Pradesh mein mob lynching ki koi ghatna nahi hai, ek. Bulandshahr ki ghatna ek durghatna hai, aur isme kanoon apna karya kar raha hai. Koi bhi doshi baksha nahi jayega. Illegal slaughtering, keval cow hatya hi nahi, illegal slaughtering poore UP mein ban hai and DM, SP uske prati poore jawabdeyi honge (There is no mob lynching in UP. Earlier on Monday, a mob of around 400 people violently rampaged in Siyana village after cattle carcasses were found in the nearby village. The ensuing violence in Bulandshahr claimed the life of a senior police inspector Subodh Kumar Singh and Sumit Kumar, a local resident. So far, the UP police have booked 90 people for the violence but the prime accused Yogesh Raj is still absconding.
