Thane, February 3: In a tragic incident, three people were killed after a building collapsed in Indira Gandhi Market in Ulhasnagar in Thane district on Sunday. According to a tweet by ANI, two people have been severely injured in the incident that took place this afternoon. Reports inform that the injured have been shifted to the nearby hospital. As soon as the incident was reported, teams of police and fire department are present at the spot. The reason for the collapse is yet to be ascertained. More details awaited.
On January 24, an under-construction four-storey building in Haryana's Gurugram collapsed in which nearly several people were feared trapped. According to reports, the building that collapsed is located in Ulawas area of Gurugram. The rescue teams retrieved all seven bodies from the site of a building collapse here, following which the operation was called off. Reports inform that the newly-laid ceiling on the top floor of the building had crashed which triggered the collapse of the building.
In December 2018, three people were killed and eight others were injured after an under-construction building collapsed in Mumbai's Goregaon area. According to reports, the labourers were working for the Mhada construction project when the building collapsed.
