BSF Celebrates 54th Raising Day; Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Amitabh Bachchan and Others Congratulate

Ahmedabad, December 1: The Border Security Force is going to celebrate its 54th Raising Day on Saturday at its campus in Gandhinagar and several other sector headquarters in the country. On this occasion, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu thanked the country first line of defence for their service to the nation.

Congratulating the BSF for completing 53 years, Naidu took to Twitter and wrote, “My best wishes to all personnel of Border Security Force on @BSF_India Raising Day. I join the nation in thanking India’s first line of defence for their service to the nation. Following the footsteps, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju congratulated the BSF. He took to Twitter and wrote, “I'm on the way to attend the 54th @BSF_India Raising Day Parade. I salute BSF personnel for courageously guarding our borders. I always feel proud to spend time with the brave jawans.”

Union Minister of State for Defence Dr Subhash Bhamre congratulated the BSF. He took to Twitter and wrote, “Best wishes to all the BSF personnel - protecting the borders of the country, and the countrymen on the establishment day of BSF.”

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Hansraj Ahir to congratulated BSF for completing 54 years. He wrote, “Heartly wishes to the personnel of BSF and people of the country on the establishment day of the BSF.”

Other than the ministers, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan too congratulated BSF on the Raising Day. He took to Twitter and wrote, “On Border Security Force Day, I salute to all the brave personnel who always stand to protect us. Best wishes to the entire country.”

Formed on December 1, 1965, the BSF has been protecting the Indian territorial borders. The brave soldiers have sacrificed their lives to secure the borders of the country.
