Borivali, February 25: In Gorai area of Mumbai suburb Borivali on Monday there was a panic among people when a bomb-like object was spotted on the road. Immediately the city police were informed. On reaching the spot, police investigated the item as a potential bomb. But later, the suspicious item, a toy bomb, was declared to be safe. Bomb Hoax Call Delays Lucknow-Barauni Express by Over 1 Hour.

The bomb was first spotted by a woman who works as a bus attendant at V.K. Krishna Menon College of Commerce and Economics. She told police that she spotted the suspicious item on Monday morning, when her bus reached near Gorai dumping ground at 8:30 am. The bus attendant immediately informed to the driver and school management, who passed this information to the police control room.

Bomb-Like Object Creates Panic in Borivali:

Acting on the call, Borivali Police team and the bomb squad reached to the spot and took possession of the bomb. After the investigation, the police and bomb squad confirmed the bomb is fake. Meanwhile, police officials are investigating how this fake toy reached there. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Police are on high alert after a low-intensity blast took place on February 20, 2019, on a busy road near Mumbai and an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) was found on a state transport bus in Raigad district later that night. According to police, the blast took place on a busy road in Thane district's Mira Road.
