Mumbai, October 28: In a shocking incident in Mumbai, a BMW Z4 worth INR 80 lakh was allegedly stolen from the parking lot of Kohinoor Square in Dadar. Police officials said that the luxury car was stolen early Sunday, October 27, while its owner was dining at Bastian - At the Top, a restaurant located on the building’s 48th floor. Notably, the restaurant is owned by Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty.
According to a report in the Hindustan Times, the BMW Z4, a two-seater convertible car, is owned by Ruhan Firoz Khan, a businessman who lives on Carter Road in Bandra. In his complaint, Ruhan Firoz Khan said that he and his two friends visited Bastian at around 1 AM on Sunday, October 27. After reaching the Kohinoor Square building, Khan gave his car keys to the restaurant's valet. After dining at the restaurant, Khan came down and asked Bastian's parking staff to bring his car. However, Khan was shocked and surprised when he learned that his car had disappeared from the parking lot. Following this, he asked the staff of Kohinoor Square to check CCTV footage, which confirmed that his BMW Z4 was stolen. According to the CCTV footage, the complainant's car was allegedly stolen by unknown men at around 2 AM. Ruhan approached the Dadar police and lodged a complaint of theft. Acting on his complaint, the police launched a manhunt to nab the accused. An investigation in connection with the incident is underway.
