Around 12:30 am, the Mumbai Police received information about the incident. Officials sent an interceptor vehicle that soon managed to tail the BMW sedan. However, the interceptor vehicle couldn't corner the powerful car that was speeding. Some motorists who had seen the car hit the pedestrians joined the police in the chase, reported NDTV.
