Lucknow, October 26: The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) on Thursday busted a huge racket of selling 'fake blood' in the state capital Lucknow. The STF has arrested seven people who were involved in selling adulterated blood by mixing chemicals and water. The STF has raided two hospitals located in Malwan area on Thursday night and recovered eight units of blood. The STF is investigating the case and exploring details of the blood bank, said a report in News18.
According to reports, the accused used to make three units of blood from two units by mixing chemicals and water. The employees working at the blood bank were not qualified for the position. It has been found that those arrested had studied up to 12th standard and less. They used to charge Rs 3,500 for selling a unit of adulterated blood. The gang used to buy blood for around Rs 1,200 from labourers and common people. 600 Fake Doctors Busted by Special Task Force in Connection With The Cheating Racket.
The raids by STF were confidential and even the local police were not aware of them. The kingpin of the crime is reported to be identified as Naseem. The police arrested him after a late-night search in Fazalganj.
