New Delhi, November 8: The Delhi Police, on Sunday, arrested BJP leaders Kapil Mishra and Tajinder Bagga for protesting at Rajghat, but were later released. They were, reportedly, protesting in support of Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami by the Alibaug police and sought his immediate release. According to the police, the duo staged a protest near the Rajghat along with a few party members around 9 am on Sunday.“We told them to conduct a protest at a designated spot and tried to remove them but they didn’t listen to us. They violated the government’s orders, (section 144) so we detained them,” police told the Indian Express. As per the reports, they were taken to Rajendra Nagar Police Station. Goswami was arrested on November 4 by the Alibaug Police in a 2018 double-suicide case of an architect Anvay Naik and his mother Kumud Naik. They were found dead at Alibaug bungalow on May 5, 2018. A suicide note was recovered from the scene that stated that they committed suicide owing to unpaid dues from Arnab Goswami's Republic TV and two other companies.
