Patna, August 21: Pinki Devi, a ward councillor has alleged that son of Municipal Council Mayor winked at her repeatedly during a board meeting of Patna Municipal Corporation. According to an ANI tweet, she said, "During the meeting, Shishir, son of the mayor smiled and winked at me. I ignored him once, but he repeated it." She further said that when she warned him of telling his mother, to which he responded saying, 'go-ahead'. "When I complained to the Municipal Council, she accused me of trying to seek attention. I urge CM Nitish Kumar to look into the matter so that such an incident doesn't repeat," she said.

The woman further said that if this continues, she will reach out to the Women Commission or court. Incidents of crime against women are on the rise in the city. In June, heads of a mother and daughter duo were tonsured allegedly for resisting molestation in Bhagvanpur area of Vaishali district of Bihar. In April, unidentified men tried to molest a teenage girl in Bihar's Bhagalpur district and threw acid on her when she resisted.
