Patna, September 28:  Three coaches of Darbhanga-Kolkata Express derailed near a railway crossing in Darbhanga on Friday morning. According to a tweet by ANI, railway officials rushed at the spot as soon as the incident was reported. No casualties have been reported so far. The investigation into the incident is underway and the cause of the derailment is yet to be ascertained. More details awaited.

On Thursday, the rear coaches of an empty EMU train which was being taken from the Velachery station to the shed nearby derailed. The EMU was used on the Chennai Beach-Velachery MRTS section, a report by TOI informed. West Bengal: Engine and Guard Coach of Empty Rake of Ispat Express Derails in Howrah Station.

Earlier this week, a goods train derailed in Assam's Dima Hasao district but there was no report of any casualty, N-F Railway officials informed. According to a PTI report, the goods train was going towards Silchar from Lumding when 20 wagons derailed between Daotuhaja and Phiding railway station in the district. In the wake of the incident, all trains in the Lumding-Silchar hill section were cancelled till Tuesday.
