Bihar Shocker: Refused Free Chips, Two Men Kill 3-Year-Old in Buxar, Dump Body in Pit; 1 Arrested
A three-year-old boy, Karan alias Dhullu, from Brahmpur village in Bihar’s Buxar district, was allegedly killed by two men after his maternal uncle refused to give them free chips from his grocery shop. Karan had come to Sondhi village on July 5 to attend a family event. Cops have arrested one accused in connection to the crime.
Patna, July 10: A three-year-old boy, Karan alias Dhullu, from Brahmpur village in Bihar’s Buxar district, was allegedly killed by two men after his maternal uncle refused to give them free chips from his grocery shop. Karan had come to Sondhi village on July 5 to attend a family event.
The boy’s body was found in a water-filled pit on Monday morning. According to TOI, one of the accused, Ghutur alias Dharmendra Pandey (25), has been arrested, while efforts are underway to apprehend the second suspect, Munna Tatwa. Rajesh Sah, the boy’s elder maternal uncle, explained, “On July 6, Ghutur and Munna came to my shop and demanded chips for free. When I refused, they threatened me and left. Later, when my nephew went missing, we searched for Ghutur. He claimed to have taken the child home, fed him, and promised to return him soon. Despite the family’s complaint, the child was not found until Monday. His death sparked outrage among locals, leading to a four-hour blockade of the Ara-Mohania road near Narayanpur village. Protesters criticised the Jagdishpur police station for allegedly failing to locate the missing child in time.
Jagdishpur SDPO Rajiv Chandra Singh stated, “We are conducting investigations with assistance from the FSL team and dog squad. The body has been sent to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. We assured the protesters that their grievances will be addressed, and appropriate legal action will be taken.” The blockade was lifted after the arrest of the main accused.
