Bihar Road Accident: 4 Dead, 9 Injured in Truck-Rickshaw Collision in Munger District
Bihar is among the unsafe states for road commutation, with a Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety recording a total of 5,429 deaths due to road accidents in the state in the year 2017.
Patna, February 19: A fatal road accident was reported in Bihar's Munger district in the early hours of Tuesday. At least 4 were killed and 9 left injured in the collision between a truck and a motor rickshaw. The injured victims were rushed to the nearest medical facility, where their treatment is underway.
The incident was reported nearly Haveli Kharagpur in Munger. The police officials rushed to the spot immediately after the accident. In Bihar's Munger, a fatal accident was also reported in November last year, when 5 youths were killed and 10 others left injured. The incident occurred on SH-22 at Chandpura village.
