Bihar Police on Monday arrested two suspected terrorists affiliated with Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh and Islamic State Bangladesh (ISBD) in Patna.
Patna, March 25: Bihar Police on Monday arrested two suspected terrorists affiliated with Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh and Islamic State Bangladesh (ISBD) in Patna. The arrests came hours after, the Mumbai, Delhi and Goa Police were put on an alert following the central intelligence agencies warning about twin threats from Islamic State (IS) and Al-Qaida.
According to intelligence inputs, terror organisations, will carry out terror attacks for taking “possible revenge" of the terror attack at New Zealand's Christchurch mosques last week which killed a total of 50 worshippers. The first input suggests that Islamic State can use a knife or vehicles in the terrorist attack. The second attack warns of possible strikes by al-Qaida at Jewish residents or attacks at Israeli tourists. For Goa, the inputs mention Chabad house (a Jewish outreach centre) in North Goa. On March 15, 2019, a 29-year-old Australian citizen entered two mosques in New Zealand’s Christchurch and opened fired. In the attack, 50 people were killed.
