Bihar, December 4: In yet another shocking incident, a half-burnt body of a woman was found in Warisnagar area of Samastipur, early morning today. On Tuesday, in a similar crime, a half-burnt body of a woman from the fields in Kukurha village of Itarhi of Buxar district. The body of the deceased was sent for post-mortem.
On preliminary examination, police informed that the woman was first shot and was then burnt. There has been a tremendous rise in attrocities against women. Two days back, in a similar incident, half-burnt bodies of a woman and her child in Nakti Police Station area of Rajpur were found. In another recent incident from Andhra Pradesh, a 50-year-old widow was allegedly gangraped and murdered in the G. Vemavaram village of East Godavari district. Earlier in the day, bodies of a 23-year-old woman and an infant were found by the roadside in Maddipadu Mandal of Prakasam District on Tuesday. The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained by the police.
