Patna, November 11: In a shocking incident, four women were found missing from Patna's Asha Kiran shelter home. According to a tweet by ANI, a case has been registered into the matter. Meanwhile, the Police have launched a search operation to find the missing women. The incident has raised questions on the functioning of the shelter home as well as its security arrangements.
Earlier this week, a girl from Poonch went missing from Srinagar’s Nari Niketan in Srinagar. According to a report by Tribune, the Superintendent of Markazi Falahi Mastoorat, Shalimar, filed a complaint with the police that one of the girl inmates escaped from the shelter home on November 2. A similar incident was reported from another shelter home in Patna in September. Two women from the Aasra shelter home were found missing. Reports inform that it was from the same shelter home that two women were earlier declared brought dead in a hospital.
In another similar incident, nearly seven minor children escaped from a children’s home in Ahmedabad's Sola within 12 days in October. According to a report by Ahmedabad Mirror, two of them were found and brought back home while the search for the remaining five was underway.
