Patna, August 31: The Deputy Superintendent of Darbhanga Jail, Nirmal Kumar Prabhat, resigned from his position alleging harassment by Superintendent Sandeep Kumar. Prabhat had claimed that he was harassed by his senior for complaining about atrocities against inmates. Along with this, Nirmal alleged that SP Sandeep used to abuse him and threatened him to suspend.
The latest incident comes from Darbhanga region jail in Bihar. DSP Prabhat alleged that is senior in prison used to misbehave with him on a repeated basis and used to humiliate him on several occasions. Stating that he is a Hepatitis-B patient and might die if being harassed regularly, Prabhat had resigned from his post. Earlier, Prabhat joined as DSP in Darbhanga after retiring from Indian Air Force in 2008. With repeated incidents of humiliation and harassment, Prabhat resigned from the post. Previously in July, a DTO in Darbhanga too have left the job for similar reasons. Following the complaint by Prabhat, senior officials have suspended SP Sandeep Kumar.
